GARDNER, Kan. (KCTV) – The Gardner City Council voted 4-1 earlier this month to pass an ordinance banning unhoused individuals from sleeping or living on public property, including parks, trails, bridges, bus shelters, and parked vehicles.
The ordinance is classified as a non-class misdemeanor. City officials said the goal is to connect people experiencing homelessness with resources.
