Visit This Kansas Chocolate Shop for the Sweetest Treats

When you think about Kansas, what comes to mind first? I bet it’s not chocolate. I know it sounds random, but hear me out—one of the world’s finest chocolatiers was born and raised right here in the Sunflower State, and it’s a testament to just how timeless chocolate can be. With a broad assortment of desserts, treats, confections, and gifts, you can’t go wrong.

Annedore’s Fine Chocolates is the place to go in Kansas for the best chocolate money can buy. So, sure, maybe Kansas isn’t famous for its candy—but thanks to Annedore’s, it should be. There are a few locations across the state, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that they’re ours—all ours.

It’s difficult to overstate the delicious decadence of Annedore’s chocolate. In a world filled with generic chocolates, shops like Annedore’s truly stand out. They offer all the incredible classics you’d expect to find at a chocolatier, but with enough originality that you’ll crave these chocolates by name. Annedore’s makes chocolate its own, relentlessly, and offers no apologies.

This is fine, of course, because it’s pure perfection. No apologies are needed. Perfect is perfect, after all.

No matter what type of chocolate is your favorite, you’ll find plenty at Annedore’s. Personally, I love truffles, and you’ll find them here by the dozen. Each truffle is handmade in the European style with all the love in the world, and it shows. They are pure confectionery perfection, and I’m hopelessly obsessed. It helps that Annedore’s makes and uses the world’s finest chocolate, and the chocolate is made in-house.

If truffles are a little too rich for you, no worries—you’ll find many other options to indulge in. Enjoy flawless toffees, brittle, and caramels. Fall in love with truly unique gifts, like high heels and boots made entirely of chocolate, and treat yourself to some of the most delicious moments of your life. You’ll want to leave with no fewer than a couple hundred items, give or take. At least I did. No shame over here, though.

As of this writing, there are three locations in Kansas: one in Overland Park, one in Westwood Hills, and one in Shawnee. If the desserts here weren’t fairy-tale perfect enough, just wait until you see the buildings the shops are in—they’re positively, quaintly storybook.

I’m a huge chocolate buff, and Annedore’s is home to some of the greatest chocolates I’ve ever had—and that’s saying a lot…
