The top two seeds have punched their tickets to the Class 6, District 6 championship game, but neither the Rockhurst Hawklets nor the Lee’s Summit Tigers had an easy path to get there.
Rockhurst survived an early upset scare against Summit Christian Academy, 52-35, while the Tigers had to overcome an 11-point halftime deficit to claim a 56-49 victory over rival Lee’s Summit North.
In the first semifinal, Rockhurst struggled offensively, taking a 10-9 lead after the first quarter.
