KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A death investigation is underway at the Jackson County Detention Center after an overnight incident.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said corrections officers were conducting scheduled bed-checks at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday when they discovered two inmates unresponsive inside a housing unit.
Officers and on-site medical personnel began lifesaving measures on one of the inmates, a 22-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri. That man was later pronounced dead at a local hospital…
