KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Chef J BBQ, a barbecue restaurant that opened in Kansas City’s West Bottoms during the COVID-19 pandemic, is expanding to North Kansas City this summer with a new location on Clay Street.
The new space spans 5,400 square feet inside and outside. Plus, the new location will serve lunch and dinner. A centerpiece of the new spot is an open-view smokehouse where customers can see the meat before it is served.
‘Knocking down a few walls’
Owner Justin Easterwood said the interior is still being renovated ahead of opening.
