Popular Northland restaurant eyes reopening after car crash closed its doors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A popular fast-food restaurant in the Northland is nearing a re-opening after a car crashed into it back in January, injuring the restaurant’s owner.

In-A-Tub provided an update via Facebook on Saturday, saying that the restaurant is hoping to reopen in early April. The post also shared that the owner, Andrea LaMunyon, is “doing well and continuing to heal.”

The initial crash happened on Jan. 20 around 4 p.m., when a pickup truck “suddenly accelerated and drove through the side of the business” after pulling into a parking spot, the Kansas City Police Department reported.

The crash left the owner with injuries, and she was taken to the hospital for surgery. She suffered a serious ankle injury and a spiral fracture in her hip…
