Kansas City man gets prison term for stolen Taurus handgun

A Kansas City, Missouri, man has been sentenced in federal court after authorities determined he illegally possessed a stolen Taurus 9mm handgun while prohibited from carrying firearms due to prior felony convictions.

Zyair J. Taylor, 24, received a sentence of 66 months in federal prison without the possibility of parole. U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips imposed the sentence after Taylor was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
