Police: Man arrested after leading chase through Livingston, fleeing into woods

The suspect is identified as William Rivera, 22, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office had alerted LPD of the stolen vehicle and said that it was possibly headed into Livingston on State Highway 146.

Shortly after receiving the notification, LPD said in a statement Monday afternoon, officers spotted the stolen vehicle traveling northbound on SH 146, just south of the city limits. Officers attempted a traffic stop in the area of Red Barn Builders Supply, but the driver fled through the parking lot. An LPD officer conducted a PIT maneuver (Pursuit Intervention Technique) in an attempt to prevent the suspect from fleeing back onto SH 146…
