Liberty chosen for $1.4B Metrobloks AI-ready data center campus

Metrobloks, a developer of AI-ready, low-latency data infrastructure, has announced plans to invest $1.4 billion in Liberty to construct a high-density data center campus spanning 568,800 square feet across three buildings. The project ranks among the largest capital investments in Missouri’s history.

Gov. Mike Kehoe said Missouri continues to compete successfully on a global stage, describing the Clay County project as evidence of the state’s economic momentum. He noted the development is expected to create 30 high-quality jobs and further position Missouri as a leader in next-generation infrastructure, adding that state leaders support companies choosing to expand and invest locally.

The project is expected to generate increased tax revenue, create at least 30 permanent positions with an average annual salary of $95,649, and support hundreds of construction jobs in the Liberty area.
