KANSAS CITY —Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that damaged three homes in Kansas City.
Just after 3a.m. Wednesday, crews were dispatched to a house fire in the 3600 block of Benton Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
On arrival, crews reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a 2-story house, with close exposure houses on the north and south sides. An offensive attack was initiated in the main structure with 3 hose lines, but due to structural integrity issues, crews backed out to a defensive position.
Both exposure houses and a detached garage were also involved, with multiple crews and multiple hose lines being utilized to contain those fires…
