Person rescued from roof as fire engulfs vacant Kansas City home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Firefighters pulled one person from a rooftop as flames tore through a vacant Kansas City home, threatening neighboring structures.

The Kansas City Fire Department said crews responded to the area of E. 27th and Montgall Ave. just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, after reports of a house fire.

When firefighters arrived, they indicated that they found flames shooting from the second floor of the vacant home and immediately launched an offensive attack.

The fire spread to two neighboring houses and a detached garage before crews said they could contain it…
