Wrong-way crash leaves 3 injured in Kansas City; impairment suspected

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Three people are hospitalized – including a juvenile – after a wrong-way driver triggered a serious collision, police say.

The Kansas City Police Department said it responded around 9:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, to the intersection of 9th and The Paseo after reports of a crash.

When officers arrived, they indicated that a gray Honda Odyssey had been traveling eastbound on 9th St. – a one-way westbound road – when it entered the intersection without stopping.

As a result, KCPD noted that the Honda hit a gray Toyota Corolla headed south on Paseo. The force of the collision caused the Toyota to roll before coming to a rest…
