Dad Says He Went to Wendy’s to Pick Up Dinner for His Family – and Ended Up Shot After a Late-Night Drive-Thru Argument

A fast-food run is supposed to be one of the most forgettable parts of the day. You place the order, grab the bag, go home, and everybody eats. That is what makes this story so disturbing. One man reportedly stopped at a Wendy’s in Kansas City, Missouri, to pick up food for his family and ended the night with a gunshot wound instead.

According to police, what started as a disagreement at the drive-thru turned into something far more serious — and now a Wendy’s manager is facing multiple felony charges.

It Started With a Chicken Order and Ended With Police at an Apartment Complex

Officers with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department and deputies from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a shooting around 11:30 p.m. on March 20. The victim told police the shooting had happened nearby at the Wendy’s on N. Oak Trafficway.
