Kansas City man sentenced for illegal gun possession after thinking law was ‘dumb’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man was sentenced in federal court Wednesday for illegal gun possession.

Forty-eight-year-old Craig D. Monks, was sentenced for illegally possessing a Beretta, PX4 Storm, .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Monks’ sentence was for four years in prison and was the result of him being a felon in possession of a firearm.
