Streamlined visa program helps soccer fans travel to Kansas City for World Cup, ensures safety

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A streamlined visa program is helping soccer fans traveling to the Kansas City metro for the World Cup.

FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System, also known as FIFA PASS, gives fans from around the world the chance to interview for a B1/B2 visitor visa before the tournament begins this summer. It allows for FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holders who purchased their ticket directly from FIFA to opt in for a chance to schedule a visa interview appointment before the start of the FWC26.

The U.S. Department of State says it’s to ensure safety amid the influx of visitors while creating an accessible, streamlined system for travelers seeking visas.
