Man sentenced for 2023 KCK shooting that injured 5 officers

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Wyandotte County judge has sentenced a 24-year-old man to prison in connection with a 2023 shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, that injured five police officers.

Jae’veon Mitchell Locke was found guilty by a jury on March 2 for attempted voluntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated battery against law enforcement officers. He was found not guilty on all other charges, which were dismissed.
