Lee’s Summit is hiking the prices for these city services starting in July

Lee’s Summit is set to boost a swath of city fees for a range of transactions starting in July.

City Council members advanced the new schedule of fees and charges at their Tuesday night meeting. The slate of fees covers things like usage of the Kansas City — Lee’s Summit Regional Airport, the city’s animal control work, various construction and planning permits, utility connections, special events permits and public records requests.

The city has adopted “numerous” updates to the city’s fees and charges schedule since it established a comprehensive list in 1998, according to an ordinance about the changes, and the city is now moving ahead with establishing a new list that will go into effect July 1…
