Olathe fentanyl dealer sentenced in woman’s disappearance. She planned to go to FBI

A man charged in connection with the disappearance and death of a Kansas City woman who went missing in 2022 was sentenced to six years in prison Friday.

Jacob Block, 28, of Olathe, had already been sentenced to 20 years in prison in a federal case in January 2025 after he pleaded guilty to a pair of charges related to the distribution of fentanyl. Court records indicate he is serving his sentence at a federal prison in Georgia.

Block pleaded guilty to a pair of felonies in Jackson County Circuit Court on Friday, one count of accessory abandonment of a corpse and one count of accessory tampering with physical evidence, and was handed the six-year sentence.
