Man convicted of illegal re-entry after arrest in Grandview, Missouri

A man was convicted in federal court Thursday, April 23, 2026, of illegally re-entering the United States after a prior deportation.

Jaime Cruz-Hernandez, 37, was found guilty following a jury trial in U.S. District Court in Kansas City. The jury deliberated for about 90 minutes before returning the verdict to U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark, concluding a trial that began April 22, 2026.
