KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Community Services League (CSL) is mourning the loss of one of its own, Beverlie Allen, who was struck and killed in a crash on Monday while helping clean up Jackson County roadways.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said troopers were called to investigate the crash near U.S. 50 Highway and Smart Road after a worker, now identified as Allen, was picking up trash along the roadway was struck by a pickup truck.
