INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – A man is dead after a shooting early Sunday morning outside an event space in Independence, according to police.
The Independence Police Department said emergency crews were called to the Lux Event Space, at 17000 E. U.S. 40 Highway, around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 10.
When officers arrived, they indicated that they found a man in his late 20s unresponsive in the parking lot outside the business.
Despite medical care provided at the scene, first responders said the man was pronounced deceased…
