KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A truck ended up in the water at Longview Lake Marina late Saturday night, and the Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue & Recovery (LSUR) team was called in to help.
LSUR says the driver had already been pulled to safety before crews got there just after 10 p.m. Once on scene, they launched a boat and found the submerged truck about 150 feet out in the lake. Two divers went down and confirmed it was sitting upright on the lake bottom.
Divers attached an anchor line to a tow truck’s rear bumper, and the vehicle was pulled from the water at about 12:38 a.m. Afterward, LSUR crews returned to headquarters to decontaminate and reset their gear, and were back in service a little after 2 a.m…
