Kansas City man pleads guilty to illegal gun possession while on supervised release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man with previous felony convictions pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to illegally possessing a gun.

The U.S. Department of Justice said 27-year-old Terrquan J. Beasley pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Court documents say officers with the Sugar Creek Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Jan. 16, 2026, for a car Beasley was driving. The vehicle had a license plate on it that belonged to a different car…
