Motorcyclist in critical condition after striking USPS semi-truck in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcyclist remains in critical condition after rear-ending a stopped U.S. Postal Service semi-truck in Kansas City, police say.

The Kansas City Police Department says emergency crews responded to the area of Truman and Lister Ave. just before 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, after reports of a crash.

Investigators note that a multi-colored Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling east on Truman Rd. when it struck the rear of a USPS trailer that was stopped in traffic, just west of Lister Ave.

According to detectives, the impact ejected the motorcyclist, who was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The semi-truck driver was not injured…
