HOUSTON (CW39) – Sunday keeps the heat around across Southeast Texas, but we may start to see the first small sign of the pattern changing.
Need to know weather
- Sunday stays hot with highs near 91 inland and upper 80s at the beaches
- Humidity will make it feel hotter, with heat index values pushing into the 90s
- Most of the day stays dry, but an isolated afternoon thunderstorm is possible
- Rain chances begin to increase again Monday and continue into next week
- Quiet weather now, more typical late spring weather ahead
A hot Sunday with just a tiny rain chance
Sunday is another summer preview day for Southeast Texas.
We are expecting partly sunny skies, highs near 91 in Houston, and plenty of humidity. That will push feels-like temperatures well into the 90s by afternoon.
Most of us stay dry, but there is just enough moisture around for a very isolated shower or thunderstorm later in the day. That does not look widespread, and many areas will stay rain-free.
Next week turns a little more active
Sunday is still mainly quiet, but the forecast begins to shift after that…
