Mosquito pool in Sugar Land tests positive for West Nile virus

SUGAR LAND, Texas — A mosquito pool in Sugar Land has tested positive for the West Nile virus, prompting city officials to increase mitigation efforts and urge residents to take precautions.

The positive sample was collected on May 27 near Lexington Boulevard and Sugar Crossing, according to the city. So far, there are no reported human cases.
