Two developments form in the Gulf, including remnants of Dolly

HOUSTON (CW39) — There are two areas we are watching in the tropics, including the remains of a former tropical storm.

Invest-AL97 in the northern Gulf is the low that will push some moisture our way.

AL97 is located about 125 miles south of southeastern Louisiana, where showers and thunderstorms have become more concentrated. The system has not strengthened, but the National Hurricane Center says slow development is possible as it drifts west to west-northwest across the northern Gulf.

Formation chances are now 30% through 48 hours and 30% through seven days. The NHC says interests along the Louisiana and Upper Texas coasts should monitor the system…
