Summer is refusing to let go across parts of the South, where dangerously high temperatures are continuing just days before the official start of fall.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect across much of Middle Tennessee until 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. Temperatures around Nashville are expected to climb into the mid-to-upper 90s, with the humidity making it feel as hot as 107 degrees.
The extreme conditions follow several days of record-setting September heat. A few showers and thunderstorms could develop Sunday afternoon, particularly around the Upper Cumberland region, but they are not expected to bring widespread relief…
