The Los Angeles Clippers are proving the doubters wrong, and each game strengthens their case as a Western Conference title contender. After surviving a poor season start, they are sitting as the fourth-best team in the West, posting a strong 30-15 record.
They’ve won 22 of their last 27 games and have outlasted several contending teams like the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, and the Phoenix Suns.
In the wake of the Clippers’ emergence, James Harden is serving as the driving force of their stretch. Initially perceived as the “problem,” Harden transformed himself into the vital cog and floor general who manages LA’s dynamite offense.
And with him playing alongside fellow stars Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, he feels his current Clips squad topples his notable 2017-18 Houston Rockets team in terms of talent and offensive level.
“This team has more talent offensively,” Harden said . “You know what I mean? We were really good [in Houston] and had some years, as far as experience, with each other. But this team is definitely more talented.”
