Simone Biles , the most decorated gymnast in history and a passionate “foodie,” is expanding her impressive list of achievements by stepping into the restaurant industry .
The Olympic champion announced plans to open a Tex-Mex restaurant, named Taste of Gold , at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in her hometown of Spring, Texas , set to debut in early 2025.
A Culinary Celebration of Success
Taste of Gold promises to offer “vibrant, bold flavors of world-class and elevated Tex-Mex cuisine.”
The name is a nod to Biles’ unparalleled medal-winning career , reflecting her commitment to excellence both in athletics and now in dining . Currently under construction , the restaurant will be located inside Terminal A near Gate A8 at IAH.
“I am a foodie at heart , and our hope with Taste of Gold is to offer a beautiful Tex-Mex dining experience that features award-winning , signature menu items with some of my favorite flavors sprinkled in for our guests,” Biles said in a statement .
