Bobby Slowik gives unique answer on what he thinks the Texans’ offense does well

The Texans’ offense remains a hot-button issue, but it sounds as though offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik is erring on the side of optimism heading into Saturday’s game in Kansas City.

Returning from the bye last week to defeat the Dolphins 20-12, Slowik was quizzed in front of reporters on Wednesday about what he thinks the Texans’ offense does well, offering a somewhat surprising answer after the defense carried them to a second-straight AFC South crown.

“I would say explosives would be the number one thing. If you keep it fairly generic, our quarterback is really good at throwing explosives,” Slowik said.

“If you take out last week, we are ranked sixth in the NFL and we were somewhere in the top three. We’ve been there for the last year and a half, and at any one time, if we get what we want, the players can make explosive, fun plays happen.”

For reference, the Texans rank 13th in points scored this year, a number higher than expected with C.J. Stroud sitting second in the league in sacks.
