Texas Surgeon Now Accused Of Performing Surgeries High On Cocaine

Houston, Texas has an elite list of medical facilities like the world’s largest hospital Texas Medical Center to top rated MD Anderson, and countless other healthcare options throughout the neighboring communities. Recently, a surgeon at Houston Methodist was suspended by the Texas Medical Board for allegedly performing multiple surgeries while high on cocaine.

According to this KHOU article, the doctor appeared to be impaired over the course of several operations he was performing in the months of August and September, and the hospital suspended him just after labor day. About 6 weeks later, he tested positive for cocaine on October 15th.

I am no cocaine expert, but it is probably safe to assume our physician friend here has a problem if he is still doing cocaine 6 weeks after being suspended for doing cocaine.
