AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) just bought 1,100 more acres of land in the Hill Country for a new state park in Central Texas.
The land is in Lampasas and Burnet counties and will be part of a new park that’s more than 3,000 acres near Colorado Bend State Park and Lake Buchanan. TPWD said the purchase is the second in a two-phase property purchase, adding to the recent acquisition of 2,020 acres in Burnet County.
