HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A woman and an infant are dead, and two children have been taken to a hospital after a car was submerged in a lake in Channelview, authorities said.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and paramedics were called to the 17300 block of Market Street around 5 p.m. after onlookers saw a car submerged in a lake. The HCSO dive team was called and recovered a woman and two children from the car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old were taken to a hospital in fair condition…
