An 8-year-old girl from Cypress, Texas, spent her spring break supporting Liberty Municipal Library in a big way.
Reagan Davis, daughter of Brian and Brittney Davis and granddaughter of John and Brenda Thomas of Liberty, created and sold handmade bookmarks during her break from school. Her efforts raised $124, which she donated to the Liberty Municipal Library to help expand its collection.
Library staff said the funds will go toward purchasing new books and expressed gratitude for Reagan’s initiative and to all who supported her project.
“The best communities are made up of readers inspiring others,” a statement from the library reads. “This young lady chose to make a difference for community readers when she could have been celebrating being out on spring break. If you see this remarkable young lady, say thank you for caring.”…
