MD Anderson, Texas Children’s to build Kinder Children’s Cancer Care hospital with $150 million gift

HOUSTON — A new Texas Medical Center hospital aimed at childhood cancer patients will rise thanks to one of the largest health care philanthropic gifts in Houston’s history.

After years of partnering for radiation oncology services for children, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital have stepped up their partnership with a plan for a new hospital connected to TCH’s Texas Medical Center campus.

Backed by a $150 million gift from the Kinder Foundation, the new facility and the joint venture that’s running it will be known as the Kinder Children’s Cancer Center…
