Nearly 150,000 customers are without power in Texas after severe storms hit the region over Memorial Day weekend.

As of Tuesday morning, about 139,000 customers in southeast Texas are without power, according to USA TODAY’s power outage tracker, which tracks more than 15 million customers.

Early Tuesday morning, areas near Galveston, Texas, which is around 50 miles southeast of Houston, were under a severe thunderstorm warning, and could have faced 60 mph winds and pea-sized hail, according to the National Weather Service in Houston.
