Texas Severe Storm Alert: Hail, Damaging Winds Threaten SE Texas Sunday Afternoon

Houston, Texas – Strong to severe thunderstorms could strike Southeast Texas on Sunday afternoon, bringing damaging winds, large hail, and pockets of heavy rain to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Houston-Galveston, a disturbance moving in from the north is expected to trigger storm development across SE Texas during the afternoon and evening hours. While storms will remain scattered, the Piney Woods and Brazos Valley face the greatest risk for severe impacts.
