HOUSTON, Texas (KIAH) — Starting Tuesday, fireworks can be legally sold in Texas ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
The Houston Fire Department reminds the public that using fireworks within city limits and many nearby cities is illegal—unless you’re attending an approved professional display.
However, in unincorporated areas of Harris County, personal fireworks are allowed but with safety restrictions.
