Major Flooding in Texas Leaves Cars Stuck and Stalled

We have had enough rain in Texas, thank you. We don’t need any more. It’s not even that bad here in extreme North Texas. But they are really going through it in places like Houston.

Flooding in Texas Causes Traffic Mess and Stalled Cars

The video at the bottom of this article shows some poor souls trapped in flash flooding in Houston. I’ve been in this situation before. Of course, everybody knows not to drive through high water, but if you have kids or pets at home, it’s not like you can just turn around and sleep at the office for the night. So you end up trying to drive through the flooding streets and your car stalls out. What a nightmare.

Houston has always had a hard time with flooding. The city is pretty flat, and because there are so many roads, buildings, and parking lots, the rain doesn’t have anywhere to go. When there’s a heavy downpour, the drainage system can’t keep up, and roads flood fast. The city is working on fixing this problem, but storms like this one still cause big issues.
