A heartwarming community tradition is returning to the Katy area this July, inviting residents to enjoy a hearty meal with a heartfelt mission. On Wednesday, July 23 and Thursday, July 24, Texas Roadhouse at 20840 Katy Fwy, Katy, TX 77449 will once again host “Tip A Cop”, a spirited fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Texas, where local law enforcement officers will serve as guest waitstaff for the evening.
The event is part of a long-standing partnership between Texas Roadhouse and Special Olympics Texas, designed to raise funds and awareness for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Officers from area departments will don aprons instead of uniforms, serving tables and collecting tips — not for themselves, but for a cause that continues to inspire unity and inclusion across the region.
“Tip A Cop” is more than just a fun night out. Donations raised during the event go directly to year-round sports training, competition, and health programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout Katy and Greater Houston.
