A new group of Fort Bend County students has stepped into the spotlight as the Fort Bend County Fair Association announced the official candidates for the 2025 Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Contest. The decades-long tradition—part pageantry, part service, and fully community-centered—will culminate in the coronation of one outstanding young woman as the next Fair Queen on Friday, September 26, 2025, during the Fair’s opening weekend.
This year’s candidates, who represent high schools from throughout Fort Bend County, are:
- Aylla Goins, Lamar Consolidated High School
- Gianna Jarlowe, Clements High School
- Aubrey Ostertag, Fulshear High School
- Leighton Lara, Foster High School
- Kendall Duff, Fulshear High School
- Kaydence Miller, Travis High School
The newly announced Fair Queen candidates recently gathered at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds for a welcome meeting and orientation. During this kickoff event, they met with members of the Queen Scholarship Committee, reviewed contest expectations, and participated in official photo sessions. In attendance to welcome the contestants was 2024 Fort Bend County Fair Queen Saige Sowa, who offered reflections on her own year of service and what the role has meant to her.
