KATY, TX – Families with sensory-sensitive children are invited to enjoy a calm and supportive morning at Typhoon Texas in Katy during the waterpark’s upcoming free “Quiet Waters” event, a special experience that features no music, spray features, or large crowds, allowing families to enjoy the park at a more relaxed pace.
In honor of National Challenged Champions and Heroes Awareness Day, the event is designed to create a low-stimulation environment tailored for children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other special needs.

- What: “Quiet Waters” sensory-friendly morning
- When: Friday, July 25, 2025 | 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- Where: Typhoon Texas – 555 Katy Fort Bend Rd, Katy, TX 77494
- Cost: Free admission for each honored child and one chaperone. Additional guests are $10 each at the entrance.
