While most of us are soaking up the final splash of summer this Labor Day weekend, Typhoon Texas is making sure our local heroes—the ones who rarely get a day off—are the ones being celebrated.
From August 30 through September 1, first responders including firefighters, EMTs, police officers, nurses, doctors, and paramedics can enjoy free admission to the west Houston waterpark. The gesture is part of Heroes Weekend, a heartfelt tribute to those who protect and serve our community every day.
To receive free entry, qualifying first responders simply show a valid work ID or badge at the gate. They can also purchase up to six Friends & Family tickets at a discounted price of $19.99 each, available in person at the ticket window.

“Heroes Weekend is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to those who answer the call – day and night – to keep us safe,” said John Pham, vice president of marketing for Typhoon Texas. “We’re proud to welcome first responders and their families to relax, recharge, and make summer-closing memories together.”…
