Friends of San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site to Host 2026 Annual Meeting

The Friends of the San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site will hold their 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 25, from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Old 300 Learning Hall, located on the grounds of the historic site. The meeting is open to the public and offers a chance for community members to learn more about the group’s ongoing efforts to support and preserve local history.

The Friends organization plays a key role in advancing the mission of the San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site, which commemorates the early settlement and leadership of Stephen F. Austin and the town’s significance in Texas history. The annual meeting will highlight the group’s recent accomplishments, community impact, and future goals.

Following the meeting, attendees are invited to stay for September’s installment of the History at Night program. Light refreshments will be served, and those interested in joining the Friends group will have an opportunity to learn how to get involved…
