WALLER COUNTY, Texas — A pregnant mother said she’s terrified every time she drives through a four-way intersection north of Brookshire and is urging state officials to act before someone is killed.
Brittany King said the junction where FM 529 meets FM 362 has long been dangerous — a blind curve and heavy vegetation make it difficult to see oncoming traffic. The intersection also sits on a primary route used by families heading to Dewberry Farms for fall events and holiday activities, she said.
“When you get to the stop sign, there’s a horrible blind spot around this curve,” King said. “You really can’t see the oncoming traffic when you’re trying to cross the road. I always have my toddler in the car with me. I’m afraid somebody is going to hit us and T-bone us off the road.”…
