Katy ISD is inviting families to explore advanced academic opportunities through its Gifted and Talented (GT) screening process, which is now open for 1st through 4th grade students. The screening window closes on Wednesday, October 9, 2025, and interested parents are encouraged to submit a Parent Observation Checklist via the MyKaty GT App before the deadline.
Designed to support students who demonstrate high intellectual potential and academic performance, Katy ISD’s GT program continues to be a sought-after opportunity for enrichment across the district. Identified elementary students participate in a once-weekly GT pullout session, where they work with certified GT teachers on activities that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
