McIntyre’s leads new wave of restaurant openings planned across Fort Bend County

A wave of new restaurants and dessert shops is set to open across Fort Bend County over the next year, bringing everything from scratch-made cookies and cobblers to Chicago-style pizza and a full-scale seafood boil destination.

Leading the list is McIntyre’s, the Houston-based sports-bar chain known for its expansive patios, dog-friendly design and lively weekend atmosphere. A new location is planned for 6530 S. Peek Road in Richmond, with a projected opening of Nov. 1, 2026, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The neighborhood bar’s Houston Heights location describes itself as having “a sprawling outdoor patio surrounded by birchwood-textured walls and an easily accessible, three-sided bar,” according to the restaurant’s website. Each McIntyre’s offers dozens of TVs, a 187-inch LED wall, 24 draft taps and a rotating lineup of food trucks instead of an in-house kitchen.
