HOUSTON (KIAH) — A burn ban has been issued by Fort Bend and Montgomery counties as dry conditions and extreme heat continue for southeast Texas.
The Fort Bend County Commissioners’ Court approved the ban on Monday, but it is only for all unincorporated areas of the county. Citing the continued hot weather and lack of rainfall in the forecast, the court determined that the conditions could bring a public safety hazard.
