Man injures girlfriend, turns gun on himself in car-to-car shooting in Katy, HCSO says

A man shot his girlfriend during a roadway shooting in Katy before driving himself to a gas station and fatally shooting himself, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the man was in a vehicle when he allegedly shot his girlfriend in another vehicle at the 2200 block of Mason Road. He added that the man then drove himself to a Valero gas station on N Eldridge Parkway off of the Katy Freeway, where he shot himself.

HCSO says the woman was flown to a nearby hospital while the man was pronounced dead at the scene…
